The FSR Research Committee and Scientific Advisory Board, which includes many
preeminent sarcoidosis researchers and clinicians,
oversees the Foundation’s independent research program.
The Foundation is committed to focusing our funding
efforts on critical gaps facing sarcoidosis research both in
maturing innovative research and encouraging new

ANNOUNCING: FSR-American Thoracic Society
Partnership Grant for Sarcoidosis (Annually) - One Award
The focus of the research award will be
programs that have a high likelihood to advance our
understanding of sarcoidosis. Investigators interested
in research that is relevant to the pathogenetic
mechanisms or treatments of sarcoidosis are encouraged to apply.
Applicants may request up to $40,000/yr for two years for
salaries, supplies or a combination of these two.

Meet Previous Grant Recipients
FSR Abstract Awards through ATS (Annually in May)
Through the American Thoracic Society (ATS)
international conference, outstanding abstracts will be
annually recognized in two sarcoidosis categories.
Sarcoidosis: Clinical Evaluation and Treatment, which
will be reviewed by the ATS Clinical Problems Assembly
and Sarcoidosis: Mechanisms which will be reviewed by
the ATS Allergy, Immunology and Inflammation Assembly.
Two awards of $1000 will be given in 2012. To be
considered, abstracts must be submitted following ATS
guidelines by November 2, 2011.

WASOGBAL
Two outstanding abstracts related to research in the inflammatory
disease sarcoidosis will be recognized through the WASOGBAL
international conference with funding from the Foundation for
Sarcoidosis Research. Two awards of $500 will be given in 2012. To
be considered, abstracts must be submitted following WASOGBAL
